Downloading software

    I can not dl anything except my windows updates...............when I try to dl ...it starts dl then it says that it can not dl....then I get error about my ie11 shutting down......................

    What does the error say? Is IE the only browser that you have?

    I have tried other browsers and ANYTHING I try to dl will not dl...only ms updates dl for me

    Seen where a virus/spyware/malware will do this more than once.

    Do you have any programs on there that you could see if they could update?

    Note: In order to perform the steps linked above, you may need to boot into safe mode with networking.

    Edit: The reason that I suggested that is you may be able to download and run the scans from safe mode with networking, since you mentioned not being able to download in normal mode.
