I have a spinning circle on the right side of the curser when I click on an icon. It continues to spin until I release the left mouse button. this happened after a power failure yesterday. No other problems that I can find.

Why do you hold the mouse button for? Click and release. Mine does the same thing while it loads the program. I just click and release and be done with it.

I dont hold the mouse button. It spins as I drag the mouse across the desktop to get to the icon.

    Hi cbumpkin,
Surely an Icon on the Desktop is active and normally requires Double Left click to open?
Unless you have set the mouse for 1 click operation.
Do you mean that you are moving the cursor across the Desktop and a spinning circle is following the cursor?
Or have you clicked on something which is trying to open?
    Please clarify. Neil.

Neal this is no big deal all functions are working properly. This spinning wheel just started a few days ago and I just wandered what might be causing it.

What is the cursor/pointer doing when it's in the middle of the screen (idle).
Is there a spinning circle next to it? Neil.
