Resolved Windows 7 Hangs/Slow Explorer not responding

Hi Guys i need some help please!

My computer keeps hanging/locking up and have to manully restart from my tower. No blue screen's of death just hangs. Mouse usually still responsive but clicking on anything doesn't do anything. Clock freezes or hour glass constantly on

Also internet explorer very slow sometime and new tabs (only 3 open) take ages to find sites when i type in or tab shows 'not responding'

Wife went to log on this arvo and typed in password and then just sat there with just welcome on the screen and the mouse poitner circle just rotating! Again had to push restar button on my tower.

No hardware changes and system been sitting here working all okay for a couple of years

Any suggestiond/help would be appreciated

 

I have tried these step and still have the same problem

Eplorer constantly states "web site not responding" or some other message which i forgot to write doen what it was. It then give the option "do you want to recover the webpage "

My system is so slow at the moment i have taken to using my small notebook just to do simple tasks

 

I have Run my AVG virus and Malwarebytes

When i run step 2. GMER it scans for about half an hour and then i get blue screen of death and my machine reboots!

Any suggestions as i have run twice and both time its done the same thing!

I have completed malware and submitted logs to Broni. It has removed some things but generally computer still slow

webpages and programs not responding

I haven't tried in safe mode but will

I have cleaned the inside of the pc although it wasn't that bad

You might try replacing AVG with MSE.

I have uninstalled AVG and installed MSE

Things seem a little better but not 100%. I'm now trying google chrome web browser rather than IE

 

I'm now using Google Chrome and things seem okay for the last few weeks
