okay i have updated my gf comp from windows me to windows 2000 now im looking to install a good spyware aka. windows defender but windows eefender no longer support windows 2000 1. does anyone have a link to where i can download a version of windows defender that works with 2000 or is there any other good ones out there i can get for free cause money is tight around the house?

For some good antispyware programs that work on Windows 2000 take a look here, http://filehippo.com/software/antispyware/. BTW just as sniper9228 said Windows Defender does not support Windows 2000.

This program works great with Windows 2000. It will up-date itself. You can also update it when you want, as well. No cost to run and use. Removes tons of junk. It will catch the bug before it causes a crash in the system, in my experience. Very good support at the site. http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
BTW just as sniper9228 said Windows Defender does not support Windows 2000.
