Warning message in event viewer

Hello All,

I may have asked this question once before but don't remember receiving an answer.I get the following error message in my event log concerning net logon, could someone tell me how to stop this warning from appearing:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5773
Date: 7/30/2002
Time: 11:59:54 AM
User: N/A
Computer: AESTONE
Description:
The DNS server for this DC does not support dynamic DNS. Add the DNS records from the file '%SystemRoot%\System32\Config\netlogon.dns' to the DNS server serving the domain referenced in that file.
Data:
0000: 2c 23 00 00 ,#..

I guess the question that I am asking is how do you add this record to the server? Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

My System

Hey astone...

Don't know if this will help but you might try EventID's web site.

You don't say if the DNS server you are using is NT4, 2K, Unix, or what. Makes a difference.

If 2K, better idea to follow the guidelines in Q246804 How to Enable/Disable Windows 2000 Dynamic DNS Registrations.

Otherwise just do as shown in Q168321 Creating a DNS Record for a Host with Two or More IP Addresses except that you will only need one A record if you have only one NIC with a single IP address.
