cannot access registry chkr

Unable to install good registry using command/scanreg/restore.

Command/scanreg/fix won't work either.

Have tried DAF & CC Clnr. Have defragged & used ScanDisk.

Win 2000 Pro is operating otherwise.

Hope I'm doing this right/seems a tad complicated.

Thanks.

My System

First of all, mentioned command looks like this:
scanreg /restore
Secondly, it's not present in Windows 2000 (Windows 98, and ME only).
To restore registry in Windows 2000, keep tapping F8 key after restarting computer, and select "Last Known Good Configuration".
