Mcafee Online.

Can anyone help me to install the mcafee online Virus scanner for Win K Pro I tried to down load iMccAfee virus scanner for the 2000Pro and it wont open up. I now have a virus and the online scanner worked well with ME but will not work with the win2000pro. I would like to get rid of 2000 Pro (as I cant get past the administrator rights thing and I am just a stand alone home PC) and put ME back. I thought I reformated C:\ but Win2000 was still there (as is the virus). Do I have to get a new hard drive?

Sounds to me like you need to run an online virus scanner to clean your system.
Then boot to a clean DOS boot disk with FDISK on it.
run FDISK / MBR
then run FDISK and remove your Windows partitions and create them.
Reboot and format C as FAT or FAT32.
Reinstall WinME

Or clean your system, and obtain administrator rights by logging into the system as Administrator
If you system auto logs on, then press control - alt - del, and choose log off.
Type administrator with no password.
Try installing your software then.
Also grant the user you login with normally local administrator rights. You can do this from Computer Management.
