How to manually install W2K updates

How do I use a manual install to selectively install W2K updates to an older laptop. I ONLY want security updates. Windwos UPdate function times out.

Thanks in advance for any guidance,

When you go to the update site you can pick n chose which files to download...

Can also manually download them from here:

Use Windows Update to check which updates you need. Take note of the KB######.

Use either

Windows Update Catalog to download as a batch to the local hard disk

or

Download Center to download one by one to the local hard disk.

In both cases, make sure that you get the correct version (OS and SP).

When all have been downloaded, install in sequence of KB######.
