Question Shutting down windows

I can't seem to shut down windows. When I go to start an click shut down a application running pop up comes up stating shutting down ccApp. After that's done I need to go back to start and click shut down again and then it goes to a blank lite blue screen and stays there until I press the manual on/off button. Then the shutting down windows pop up appears for a second and the computer turns off. How can I fix this?

The quick answer is to get rid of Norton and replace it with something that behaves better.

You could try booting to safe mode, uninstalling Norton, rebooting, and reinstalling it. That might clear the problem.

Note that ccApp & shutdown issues are very common and you'd think that Symantec would have figured out the problem and issued a fix but that does not appear to be the case.
