Cool w2k screensaver problem

Hello Lady's and Gentlemen,

Hey I have a small problem with my screensaver in w2k. I have searched the forums left and right, Searched MS site, but can't seem to find a solution to my problem. Anyway.........

The problem is w2k will not retain the screensaver I select. I have done pretty much everything that I can think of. Virus, spyware, etc. I had this similiar problem in my outlook not wanting to keep my password, which I fixed that from a solution I found here and directed to MS. I am sort of thinking it might be the samething, but in a different area. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. If you need any more info let me know.

Thanks Jame'

Is it a win2k screnn saver or a third party one that you installed?

Does it happen with any one you select?

I had installed a couple of third party screens, but uninstalled them to see if that was the problem, and then I did some cleaning of the reg that refered to those screensavers, and yes it does it no matter which one I pick. Just to add, I am able to pick it and then preview it, but will not stay as my selected screensaver. Keeps going back to none.
