I recently upgraded my OS from Win 98se to W2K. The upgrade went fine and everything is working great, except. . .
I lost the automatic shutdown feature. Now I get the screen that tells me its O.K. to shut down my computer, but I have to kill the power manually. Is there some way to get back auto shutdown?
I am running a 500 MHz Pent III, on an ABIT motherboard, 515MB memory, 10 Gig HD, ATI Rage video.
Thanks for any help.

During setup, Windows 2000 will detect if your BIOS supports ACPI or not. If you decided to leave ACPI disabled, you may want to enable APM (Advanced Power Management) after the system is installed, so that the system can switch off the system after shutdown. You can do so at Control Panel > Power Options, in the APM tab.
