tweaking the file save window

Trying to change the icons on the left side of the file save dialogue. You know...when you're in an application and choose file > save as it opens the file save dialouge that has some short cuts on the left side foe desktop, my documents, etc. KDE has the same thing in it's file save dialogue, but it's easily tweaked like all things linux.

Anyway, I want to delete a couple of the big icons and replace them with new icons for different locations.

I imagine that it's something hidden somewhere in the registry, so if anyone can offer tips it would be apreciated.

Is this clear? I can make and post a screenshot of the what i mean if you want, but if you do a file > save as and look at the list of icons that are arranged vertically on the left side of the dialogue you should know what I mean....

Thanks in advance......

OK, so I think it's called the "places bar".

Basically, I want three links in this bar:

1) A custom folder on c:\
2) Desktop
3) A folder on a network drive

I need this to be system wide, IE not just in MS Office apps, but for all windows apps.

Not sure I can even do this the way the MS locks the system down to tweaks. There must be a way to do do this in the registry though.

A couple of screen shots would help me because at this point, I'm a little confused.

I want to get the three things noted to be in the area that's circled in red. can't figure it out, and tweakui won't do it for me.

nevermind...apparently I can do this with tweakui 2.0 or higher. I didn't realize the newer versions would work with 2000...I thought they were only for XP.
