I've upgraded to SP2, but some of the network geeks in my old co. suggested against SP3. The main applic. I'm concerned about is Sonar 1.3, in case anyone has heard of it. Basically, I want to make sure SP3 enhances 8-trk digital audio recording.

In that case, load SP3 and select the option to allow an uninstall if you want to. Then if it works OK, keep it. If not, back off to SP2.
If you want to get a feel for how folks have done with SP3, just search the 2K section and use SP3 for your search term.
And as a rule of thumb, if one of us geeky folk makes a suggestion, be sure to ask why and if the answer is too geeky, ask them to say why in plain English (or other language of your choice). If the person(s) you are talking to know their stuff, they can state it in normal, fairly non-tech language. If you get a response like, "well, it is just too technical to explain" or something, ignore them 'cause they don't really know what they are talking about.
