Do you allow Internet Explorer to save your passwords to websites you visit? If not, you will not have any Web Credentials. I don't have any either because I don't allow my browsers to remember my passwords.

Am I correct that if one has removed internet explorer in W10, there will be no credentials and that one will get an error message when trying to access credentials?

I am not aware that you can "remove" IE. You can certainly make a different browser the default. In fact Edge is the default when W10 is first installed. And you can turn IE off. But not sure you can actually remove it because Windows itself, uses some of IEs core code.

We don't want to hijack this thread, but what credentials are you talking about?

Bill, In Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off > IE 11 can be unchecked only. If you expand > Internet Information Services > does Web Management Tools have anything to do with Credentials controls? Neil.

Right. That is what I was referring to when I said you could "turn IE off ". But that (to me) is not removing or uninstalling it.
