    Is now available through Windows update.

    The ISO will be available in the next few weeks.

    I don't have much to say about it yet, I'm installing a new SSD in my PC and will do a fresh install of Win10.

    I have to wait for the ISO. Every time I update to the latest build it downloads and installs with a graphics driver that is not compatible with the integrated graphics on my machine.

    These kinds of things are to be expected as its only beta. Glad testing it in VM.

    I don't mind it's on a dedicated hard drive.

    No confusion. The post 11 & 12 are right.

    build 10041 is the last released build available, but as I said, only through WU on a previous build. The ISO (download) will be available a little later.

    Arie, my 9926 build does not have WU in the Control Panel. Is this by design or fault? Neil.

    Just found it in Settings > Update and Recovery.

    For every new build, I duplicate the old one and upgrade it as a Fusion virtual machine.

    Finally got W10 build 10041 to install. I noted a lot of users were having the trouble getting this update to install - error 0x80070241 was the usual problem.:mad:
    My problem was I had 4 HDD's connected using BCD2 to select OS to run.
    I disconnected the 3 HDD's (Vista,W7 & W8.1) manually, and build 10041 took about an hour to install. All running sweet as. ;) Neil.

    1. Failed to update from Build 9926 to Build 10041 from Windows Update and got error code (0x80070520). The Windows 10 Pro TP x 64 Build 9926 sits on Fusion 7.1.1 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.

    2. Successfully Windows Update to Build 10041 on an old HP notebook running Centrino for Windows Vista. However, the Screen Resolution can only reach 1366 x 768 on Build 10041 vs 2048 x 1536 on Build 9926. A big drawback.

    3. What makes Windows 10 TP find my location on the Maps app?

    4. Stupid question: If I install any software on it, will they be wiped out by the next Build?

    Thanks.

    1. Update from Build 9926 to Build 10041 succeeded after i) create a Local User Account instead of the Microsoft Live User Account, ii) change the account type to Administrator, iii) Login from the Local User Account and run Windows Update again.

    2. After upgraded to Build 10041, the maximum screen resolution available is 1920 x 1200. Visual experience is good. (Build 9926 provided resolution at 2048 x 1536 is not available.)

    3. The HP Notebook has no GPS function. Does it mean that Maps in Windows 10 uses my WiFi Router location? If it's the case, then not only Google Maps and Apple Maps, now Microsoft Maps also uses the same technology tracking users.

    4. Thank you.

    b.t.w. Share with you guys:

    Windows 10 TP Build 10041 is impressively running as a Virtual Machine in Fusion 7.1.1 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 in responsively and screen resolution.

    1. it's running on a MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011 with native maximum display resolution of 1280 x 800 under native host OS X Yosemite 10.10.2, but on Windows TP Virtual Machine, it gives impressive 1920 x 1200, still very readable comfortably. Now many webpages and multiple documents are readable as a whole page!

    2. The cursor and software are running smoothly, almost as smooth as running on the native OS X, while only 2 Cores (out of 4) and 2048 MB RAM are allocated to the Windows 10 TP VM without affecting the performance of the native host OS X (though the machine is config to 16 GB 1600 RAM).

    3. The multi-touch function of the touch pad on the MacBook Pro is fully functional manipulating on Windows 10 TP.

    4. The Windows 10 TP Build 10041 is now using relatively low power on MacBook Pro Early 2011, 1TB 5400 rpm drive, 16 GB DDR3 and Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB.

    i) Without Windows 10 TP Build 10041 VM - 16 Watts or 1000 mAh in realtime;
    ii) During Windows VM Startup - 18 Watts or 2423 mAh;
    iii) During Windows VM login - 20 Watts or 1400 mAh;
    iv) During Software Installation from WiFi - 44 Watts or 3755 mAh;
    v) Idling Windows 10 VM - 17 Watts or 1300 mAh.

    It's still running on the aged Windows NT Engine, to my belief. While I really hate the name Spartan personally, one of the most critical dislike is Windows Update - It's sooooo sloooow. Without a Caching Server, every PC has to download the same update through Internet, again! What a waste of Internet bandwidth!

    Considering that one-PC-per-family era has mostly gone, Windows 10 should provide an OS update and app update caching server, like what Apple OS X Server has been doing for years. That can be a premium Windows 10 service, say $20, per LAN? Fair enough. Looking forward to it at Build 10049+n.
