I have been experimenting with Chrome profiles & inadvertently became part of the Google Borg, sorry, I mean cloud, when I discovered that a profile I made on my desktop PC now opens on my notebook alternative Chrome profile. Theme, customisations, *extensions & bookmarks. When I go to my GMail account I see **this icon in the runbar claiming that the page wants to install a service handler. I click the 'ignore' radio button but it seems to keep coming back.

A/ Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

    B/ What does it mean?

*I was initially experimenting with a virtually vanilla Chrome with only a couple of extensions & a theme to see how much faster it would be.

    A: No, I don't use Gmail.

B: As indicated in the screen shot, it is a handler that will set your system so hat all email links will open in Gmail (as opposed to your email client).

This is a Gmail feature that apparently started last February (see: Google Chrome cleverly opens email links in Gmail using HTML5)

OK thanks Arie. I had a feeling it was something like that.
