    Can anyone help me please....

I use Symantec Antivirus to scan my computer, and I found it took very long time(more than 1 hr) to scan "Content.IE5" folder, which is under
    C:\Doc..and Setting\user's name\Local Setting\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.
However, when I tried to go there and delete those temporary files, I couldn't find Content.IE5 folder under this path. For this reason, I always have to spend more than 2 hrs to scan my computer.
Is there anyone can help me to find this folder and delete all of those file to save my time. Thank you.

    WS
PS: My OS is WinXP Pro

It's a hidden folder, but you can just go to Tools > Internet Options from IE's menu and click Delete Files under the Temporary Internet Files header (also check the Delete all offline content box that pops up).

ise2006--I think a program such as SystemSecuritySuite does a better job of deleting the Content.IE5 files including the contents of the index.dat file in that folder.
    http://www.igorshpak.net/
Check "Temporary" under both My Computer and Internet Explorer columns.

Specific to just seeing the Content.IE5 files, I have the same problem. If you type C:\Doc..and Setting\user's name\Local Setting\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 into the Windows Address line and click Enter, you will get there. I created a shortcut just for this purpose.
There are other ways, but I find this simplest.

You'll also need to have Hide protected operating system files unchecked.

Well, you don't need any other software for it. Just create a 2nd user account in XP (if you don't already have more than 1 account), and you can delete the whole folder & it's contents from user 2 for user 1 and vice versa ;)

Arie--I have "Hide protected operating system files" unchecked and "Show hidden files and folders" checked. But good for ise2006 to look at.

I like SSS mainly because it really does clean out Content.IE5's index.dat file. On reboot, its size is only 32KB which I guess is the minimum. Using Internet Options|Delete Files has little effect on the size (and presumably contents) of Content.IE5's index.dat. But I have not tried your user 1/2 idea.

Should add that it won't work if you selected to "make my Documents and Settings private ".

A trick to see your user account's content.ie5 folder without the need to log in to another user account:

Open disk cleanup utility (system tools). Highlight temporary internet files, click view files. Windows Explorer opens showing the contents of the Content.IE5 folder.

If you want to, you can make a shortcut to it on your desktop:

With that Explorer Window open at your Content.IE5 folder, click the up icon (Folder with green arrow); Explorer Window now shows contents of your temporary internet files folder, including the Content.IE5 folder. Right mouse depress on the Content.IE5 folder, drag to desktop, click create shortcut here.
(If you don't have the up icon in your Explorer toolbar, right click on the toolbar, click customize, you can add it from there)

    Creating a shortcut to
    "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5"
    involves a lot fewer clicks.
