I'm not seeing any signs in your HJT log.
What program is telling you, you have infostealer.gamepass?

Please do this.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges to complete the following.

• Close all other windows before proceeding.
• Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
• When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy and then paste the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Please post the "main.txt" log only for now.

too late

I want to say thanks for all help you thought you could give me. But, I ran combofix.exe and it killed my computer. I had to call Acer and have them send me the disk for Vista. It can not boot up.

I had Norton Security Suite, System Mechanic, PC Pitstop Optimize and Exterminate. I think it was Norton that told me about Infostealer.gamepass. It said it could'nt remove it. It would only let me review it.

I had already used combofix.exe, AVG, and something else,following another post with the same problem, except the were running XP. It removed a different problem I had, but not the main one.

So, I joined this forum and asked for help. While waiting I decided to run the combofix.exe again. DUMB MISTAKE! I now have a black screen that wants me to insert my Windows disk. Which I don't have!

I know I should have waited for help. Hind sight IS 20/20. I learned! If you don't know what your doing, it's best not to do it.

WOW sorry to hear that.

Combofix is a very powerful tool and should not be used lightly.

Can you get into safe mode?
Reboot into safe mode.
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

If so, then try to use the "Last Known Good configuration" and hit Enter.
See if that may get you back into windows.

It won't even let me get into safe mode. I can use F12 but it still ends up at Windows Boot Manager. It says "windows failed to start ". It does have File:\Boot\BCD Status:00xc00000ba

Start your computer and immediately begin tapping the F8 key. You should be presented with a 'toolbox' with various options. Select System Restore and choose a time prior to running Combofix.

 

I tried that again. I just goes right to the Boot Manager. It won't do anything else.
