Links in TBird incoming email do not work

    Recently, url links in incoming emails do not work and system freezes and I have to go to Task Mgr to escape from Tbird . Then I have to go to ATT/IE/Yahoo browser/mail which has no such problem. Any ideas?

    I had the same problem last week, and I'm not sure why. First of all, ensure that you have selected Thunderbird as your default Mail Client. If you've already done so then the following may solve your problem:

    Uninstall TB, using Add/Remove Programs
    Next: Delete the Thunderbird folder located here:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird

    Reboot the PC, in order to update all files/folders

    Reinstall TB 2.0.0.9

    If still no joy, then follow the above procedure again.

    Since we haven't heard from you, I will add one more possible solution:

    It could be that Firefox is the culprit, and not Thunderbird. Here are several workarounds to try, if you are still having problems:
