When I go to <www.woot.com> the image will not load. I have gone to tools>Options and have allowed images from Woot as well as pop-up windows and I can not see how to get the image to appear. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am using Firefox2.0.0.7, and I did nothing to see the image (basically, only one) of iRobot, and I saw the popup. Interestingly, I have a check mark to block popups, and woot.com is not in the list. Is it not maddening? What are your cookies settings? I got five cookies from the site, after I opened the page.
I have set to accept all cookies till they expire, and don't have any addon which would mess things up.

    Hi Bob,

Ditto on FF 2.0.0.7. The page opened immediately, as did the image of the vacuum cleaner, but I didn't see the popup Westside refers to.

If I remember correctly, you're using either Seamonkey or the Mozilla suite, aren't you? Don't see why that should matter, though.

Grasping at straws :))) , I don't know if clearing your cache would help, but it's worth a try.

I am using FF on my laptop and Seamonkey on my desktop and neither one shows the image. My computers are totally unrelated. I must have something set incorrectly. The image of the robot comes up on IE on both of my machines! How do you figure it?

Do any other sites fail to display images?

I don't know. I look at the NY Times website frequently and all the photos appear. I don't know what's missing :)

I can't think of anything that might be causing the problem. The Roomba image is a simple .jpg, as are the images on the NY Times site.

I hope you get this figured out!

I get the popup if I click anywhere on the picture of the iRobot. With FF2.0.07 and NS9.0b3.
Any program which would block the picture, but why only that site?
I am using Seamonkey2.0a1pre, and the picture appears. There is no popup, but rather another window.

I figured it out. Under preferences I have to check "Accept All Images ". Accepting images from originator only will not work.
Thank you all for your help.

There is no such thing in Firefox2.0.0.7 or later. You may block image, or
accept them, by selecting Load Images automatically. May be the Exceptions button will help, although I have no problem. I can't speak for Seamonkey.

    Westside,
I fixed SeaMonkey but the image does not show on my laptop which has FF. I tried to fix FF like I fixed SM but the option to allow all images is not in the preferences and I have already allowed www.woot.com to load images but it doesn't seem to help.

    ackerberg and Marv6,

The setting can be edited in about:config

Clear the Location Bar, then type: about:config
In the "Filter" field type: permissions.default.image

    The settings are:

1 Allow all images to load, regardless of origin. (Default)

2 Block all images from loading.

3 Prevent third-party images from loading.

    Ramona,
You are a genius - that did it. It was set to 3 rather than 1 - so no images showed. How on earth did it get set to 3? Did this happen when I upgraded to the latest version of FF? Shouldn't it have been the default value = 1?
BTW, how did you learn sooooo much about this?

    Bob,

Not sure how it was set to 3, since the default is 1. Could be when you upgraded to 2.0.x.x from 1.5, you had that setting?

I have No-Script on both programs which keeps updating and I wonder if it is the update which changed the setting in FF? Do you have No-Script on your FF?

My suggestion is that you disable No Script. I tried it, and I kept it for less than one day, hampering all the way.

I like No-Script because it really blocks out a lot of garbage. It is tiring to keep allowing script from various sites but so far I have been able to live with it. The images loading may be just a fluke and have nothing to do with NS.

May be, but watch for anything funny. I am puzzled about the permission setting. It should be no problem if you started with a FF2.x. I don't remember what effect having a 1.5.x updated.
