Unable to delete email from In-box Windows Mail New Vista machine

    I have an email hung in the inbox in Windows Mail (the new Outlook Express)and it will not delete. I get and error message. Previously I had one in the Outbox that Dell helped fix by running a 'WMUTIL'.

    Love my new system and Vista so far, but the Windows Mail problems so soon are getting frustrating.

    This is a known bug that MS has yet to acknowledge (they're having a hard time reproducing it).

    A fellow Microsoft MVP has written the WMUtil for it:

    Thanks Arie. Unfortunately the WMUTIL doesn't work on the inbox bug, only those hung in the outbox. Hearing about some other solutions for the inbox bug... but a little beyond my comfort zone for trying.

    Hopefully MS will develop a fix and solution soon.
