Hi, markedagain. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

I searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base for bugcheck 0x9c and came up with a few articles that might apply to your issue.

One of those KB links implies you might have issues with Boot.ini, Ntoskrnl.exe, and/or hardware.

    Suggestions:

Carefully follow the directions in this link and paste your DebugWiz-generated BSOD dump data here. The DebugWiz-generated dump data will provide details that might help us narrow down the cause of your problem.

I also suggest you test your memory (RAM).

In case you decide to test your RAM for errors, all of the following RAM testers have been recommended in these forums in recent months (last 10 months?). However, there are differing opinions on which RAM tester is "best ".

Please keep us posted about what you try and what you discover.

I don't think it is useful to provide the debug report as it is hardware error. Accordimg to the parameter list and it bus connection time out. If your windows has mixed ram (ie ram with different manufacturer), use same type of RAM. If your windows has TV card, remove the TV card. If your windows does not crash, TV card is the culprit.

    thx for the info guys.

The computer is a laptop so no hardware changes have been made to it.

at the end of the day every time i started to the laptop the blue screen came , not enough time to test anything out. even in safe mode i get the blue screen after start up.

i will try your sugestions and let you know what happens.

    thx for the help. appriciated

VAL - MCi_STATUS register is valid
Indicates that the information contained within the IA32_MCi_STATUS
register is valid. When this flag is set, the processor follows the

Indicates that the error was enabled by the associated EEj bit of the
    IA32_MCi_CTL register.

    PCC - Processor Context Corrupt
Indicates that the state of the processor might have been corrupted
by the error condition detected and that reliable restarting of the
    processor may not be possible.

so im hopping someone will be able to point out to me maybe what is faulty by looking at the dump file (i hope)

in the mean time i starrted running the memory test
    Microsoft's Windows Memory Diagnostic
But its been now over 2 hours and the test is still going, is this normal?

    hey guys,

so the memory test did not show any errors, same goes for most of th scans i did.

is there any scans i can run to find what hardware is giving me the error.

is there anyway i can bypass this?

Also sometimes i can go on for hours with no blue screnn then all of a sudden it appears one after another. i have looked into the temparture but it seems fine and does not spike before the blue screen.

Any more helpwould be much appriciated. if i cant fix this then my laptop is garbage and it cost me a pretty penny not to long ago. :(

    Mark.
