The message means that in order to close, Internet Explorer needs to
have access to a certain memory address, and is unable to get that
access. So what ends up happening is that Internet Explorer is not
completely closed. If you open Task Manager you'll see that iexplore.exe
    is still running.

It might mean that your RAM is going bad. But it probably means that an
add-on that opens with Internet Explorer is causing a problem.

To test add-ons in IE 6 SP 2, go to Tools - Manage Add-ons... and
disable each add-on in turn until you find the one that is causing the
    problem.

(Based on notes by "Earl Grey ")

Since I am a beginner, let me ask: is there a problem in disabling any of them add ons, what I mean is, would disable any or all of them cause any problem?

    Thank you

    They are all optional.

Likely you would want to keep, if installed: Java (Sun) and Adobe reader.
    Disabling is not deleting.

You can always later change your mind.

Hey! My computer started doing this yesterday. I don't know if this is related or not but I started getting this error directly after uninstalling the Yahoo toolbar from IE version 6.

I upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo instant messenger and it installed the toobar without me knowing it. Or I just wasn't paying attention. Now I get this stupid error about 50% of the time when I close Internet Explorere.
