"Nvidia twin view" window on shutdown

    when I shut down the computer this window shows:
    "Nvidia twin view"
    with end now or cancel. when end now or cancel is used to close the window the computer will not shutdown. (OS is Windows XP.) I have to manually shutdown the computer. Please help.

    Unless you are using two monitors, you do not need the Nvidia support.
    Start, Run MSCONFIG

    Under the Startup tab, find the NVIDIA entries and disable them. This will not have any negative effects on your graphics display. These "services" are not necessary for most users and poorly written for all users.
