IE7 doesn't save a changed shortcut icon?

    I have several shortcut icons on my desktop to standard websites except I have selected a different icon from the Change Icon list and this worked fine in IE6.

    Now after loading IE7, as soon as I visit a particular website using the shortcut icon it reverts back to the default icon of that particular website no matter how many times I change it back using the OK and APPLY.

    How do I get my icon selection to "lock in" using IE7?

    Change it to what you like.
    Then right click, Properties, General tab, set the shortcut Read only.
