On my Start Menu I have My Computer set to Display as Menu at the bottom of the menu list was My Documents and now its not on the list anymore. Is there a way to put back on that menu list? I've tried several System Restore Points but still no My Documents. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Right click on the Task Bar->Properties->Start Menu->Custom->Advanced tab

I know about that. On the Start Menu I have My Computer Set to: Display as menu. In that menu is a list of your drives, Control Panel, Shared Documents, and My Documents. My Documents is now missing from that menu list. Is there a way to put it back on there?

lj50--Are you saying My Documents (with option to "Display as a Link" and "Display as a Menu ") is not the next item under My Computer in the Advanced window where Steve R Jones has suggested? Or that if you have checked My Documents' "Display as a Link" or "Display as a Menu" button, My Documents is not showing in the right panel when you click Start? If "Don't Display this Item" is checked, that could be the problem.

No it is not the problem. When I highlight My Computer a Context Menu appears and on that menu is a list of all your drives, Control Panel, Shared Documents, and My Documents. Well My Documents is no longer on that Menu.

No it's not a Domain Logon. I already have Microsoft Power Toys for Windows XP and it is set properly as a matter of fact I've had for a long time now.

Fire up TewakUI and UNcheck the box in the pic I posted about.

    Click Apply.

Place a checkmark back in the box and click Apply.

Maybe these steps will re-write the reg entries...

Didin't work. But I did notice that when you open My Computer there is Shared Documents and My Documents. Well My Documents isn't in there anymore. That could be the reason why it is not on that menu. I have to try to get back in My computer. Any suggestions?

lj50--Sounds like something is wrong with your Windows Explorer or My Computer.
Have you tried Start|Run|type sfc /scannow|OK? That fixes corrupt system files.
You will probably need your Windows CD. And stay near the PC since you may have to click Retry several times.

Will that mess with my settings, tweaks and will I have to reinstall SP2 and updates. I have XP SP1 CD and I slipstreamed an XP SP2 CD from that original XP SP1 CD. So which one should I go with.

    lj50--Sorry to hear the news.
    Going back to your question
No, System File Checker should have no effect on your personal settings and tweaks. You are only checking for and, if necessary, repairing corrupt Windows files
