As per Charles' advice in another post:
"If it is the XP install CD, it will have an i386 folder with a bunch of .cab files. "
There are 11 .cab files on the CD - can someone tell me if that sounds like the full complement?
    Thanks

    Found our own answer:
Called the manufacturer of the computer, and were told that the CD is a full installation one - thus 11 must be the whole collection of .cab files.

    Hello Gisele,

For anyone else wondering the same thing:

Insert the CD, it will autorun or if not, double click on the CD ROM and this is what the Windows Installer will look like for XP:

Hmmm, when I reboot with the Windows CD in place, I get the screen that you indicate, but I want to partition first. How do I do that?

    Hi Gisele,

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313348

The title of the knowledge base article is: How to partition and format a hard disk in Windows XP.

    Lower down:
How to partition and format your hard disk by using the Windows XP Setup program.
