I've searched this forum but can find nothing that directly relates to my question.

In IE, when I click on the 'mail' icon, a menu appears which includes 'send page'.
Using this function alllows me to email in OE an image of the page, rather than sending it as an attachment.

I'm using FF as my browser but OE for mail. I can't seem to find nor figure out how to duplicate the 'send page' function while using FF. Am I missing an extension/plug in, or is this function not available in FF?

Whatever help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

    doubleu,

There is no "Send Page" in Firefox, only the "Send Link" option.

However, if you want to send the entire page, you can right click on the page, click on "select all ", and then click on any highlighted area, and select "Copy ", in the context menu.

Next: paste the page into your email client compose window. This will copy the page, complete with formatting and images.

    Ramona...

Thanks very much for your quick reply. Your solution works but I wonder why FF doesn't duplicate IE's 'send page' function?

If you know the answer, I'd be curious as to what it is, otherwise, treat this as a rhetorical question.

    Ramona....second question:

In both my posts, words appear underlined in the text but I didn't underline them when composing. One was the word 'email' the other, 'solution'. How did this happen?

Firefox has a Send Link option (which sends the link by e-mail) but does not have a Send Page option for including the entire page as an attachment.

You can provide a image of the page via Firefox / Thunderbird "as an attachment" ... which I see is not your preference.
Before you click on "Send Link" copy the page URL to clipboard. When in TBird view, click on the "down arrow" next to the "Attachment" Tab. See drop down menu with 3 selections. Click on "Web Page" and paste the URL into space provided. If emailed to a "view attachments inline" browser, you will have a duplicate image view of the web page. Sorry if this is not solution your looking for. Why Firefox does not "Send Page" I can only guess. Firefox is a browser only, does NOT know what email client the information / file would be sent to. I surmise this would make it a difficult option to write a program for.
