Ok.. I have 3 comps on a home network going through a Belkin 4 port cable gateway router model f5d5231-4 (if thats needed). I can send/recieve mail fine on main comp, but on other 2 comps, they will recieve but wont send.

Ive called Belkin, they say the router wont interfer. Ive set up NS on main comp correctly as per instructions from roadrunner server, which I wont name at this time but could if private messaged.

Anyways, does anyone have this simular setup that may lend an idea as to what is goin on?

Im using 98SE, if that info is needed.

    Thanks

    Basstracker,

Is this something that's happened since you installed the router, or has it been happening all along? What settings are different, if any, on the two PC's that won't send, compared to the PC that works properly?

The fix for the inability to send mail is here: Can't Send Mail

Let us know if you continue to have problems, after applying the above workarounds.

    thanks Ramona..

I got it fixed however... I guess in my old age Ive given up on "digging" to find answers on my own lol.. It had to do with the other comps not seeing a way out to send mail, had to tell email settings the correct port numbers and tell the router to let the comps send stuff.

    Thank you.
