Can't uninstall TAXCut 2002

When I try to uninstall the program I get an error message "can't open install log ". I tried re installing TaxCut on top of it and the new installation would uninsatll but wouild leave the old installation. I must have deleted the install log sometime. How do I get rid of this program?

Try this MS uninstall tool:

Before using, make a manual System Restore point so that if anything goes wrong, you'll be able to get back to where you are now.

I haven't used this tool yet so don't know exactly the steps it will take you thru. For example, you may have to remove the Program Files folder for this program yourself. By the description, the tool works on the registry and .ink link (shortcuts) only - that's the most important anyway because then the program will be "de-registered ", but you will have to see.

Re-read again the description again - will NOT remove the program files themselves. You will have to do so.
