Try either ipconfig or winipcfg in that box. I think it's the second.

Start>Run>command and then at the prompt, ipconfig or winipcfg.

If you just type ipconfig in the Run box, the window will open and close before you can read it.

FireDancer--What it is you want to do? Learn your own IP address? Identify someoneelse's? Check to see if your connection to the ISP is working?
As Ray H has said, in Win98SE, to learn your own IP, (and I do not mean to contradict Miz), you can Start|Run|type winipcfg|OK which will bring up the IP Configuration window. That will show your IP address for the various connection(s) you have to the Internet. (You will have to click the little down arrow on the top line if you have more than one connection.)
    You could also use

For the future, you can use this command, and have a text file created with all the info.
    ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt
You can then open the file with Notepad.

Why do you guys make everything so complicated? The guy has Win 98. Right? Simple. Start: Run: Winipcfg. End of sentence. End of paragraph! "More Info" if you need details. KISS!
