Problem with EZ Antivirus autodownload

I have my eTrust EZ Antivirus set to download a new sig every morning at 5:30. Today I got this error message in the log:

Is this a server-side, or client-side error?

 

I just tried mine and recieved the same error. It's probably a problem on their end. I'm just gonna wait on it and try later and see what happens then. At least you know you're not the only one.

 

Mine just updated fine.

 

Mine still won't update. How do you contact their tech support?

 

Shadowhawk if you are still using version 6.1 here is an ftp site ftp://ftp.cai.com/pub/myeTrust/sigs/10.5 just download and open so it will run. I've had to use it a couple of times.

OOPS now that I read it you are not using 6.1

 

I reported and got this link for sig 8367 ftp://ftpez.ca.com/pub/myeTrust/autodownload/sigs/patches/
They are aware there is a problem and suggest trying autodownload again.
Forget it you have to download a vpatch also and they won't let you right click the page so just make a report and there are a bunch of things to follow

 

I was finally able to autodownload. Ugh, I feel so naked without my daily updates. There's a new variant of Sasser out, called Bobax. Not a good time to have CAI's servers go out on us.

 

I know I panicked and emailed them. They aren't making it as easy to download these 6.2 updates manually as the 6.1. The updates are all up there on the ftp site. I could just go and get them with one click on the old etrust.

 

They're probably trying to wean us off manual updates.

Your problem could be your etrust firewall. I just had trouble with my autodownload and i shut the firewall off for about 2 seconds while the autodownload did its thing.

 

I don't have the eTrust firewall. I have Kerio, and it never causes me trouble.
