At websites requiring user name and password there is a place to check to remember them to speed re-entry. Occasionally there is a note that Windows will remember it unless I configure it otherwise. I check as above, but usually I have to repeat the process when I return, anyway. How can I change this?IE 6.0

alarise--And some sites will not remember even with that setting checked. Probably due to being extra cautious about safety.

Note that sites remember passwords by putting a cookie on your computer. If you have any software that deletes cookies automatically or if you delete cookies manually on a regular basis, you will have to re-enter your username and password when you access passworded sites after deleting cookies.

Thanks. I may have the software and not even be aware of it. I'll try to find out.
