    Hello,

Our LAN is peer to peer with PCs running Windows 10, 8, 7 and one XP.

I would like a record how much internet data volume (MBs) used on each PC. Internet access is via a Huawei B315s indoor router.

    Please recommend appropriate tool/tools.

The router should have a logging feature in its control panel:
    http:// 192.168.1.254

    User: admin
password: admin (unless you changed it)

The only way to get accurate bandwidth usage is if the router firmware has that capability, most router firmware doesn't have that capability.

You other option is to install bandwidth monitoring software on each computer/device and view its logs on each computer/device. Some such software may have the capability to save the logs to a specified location that you could view from your computer over the network, best would be a NAS device.

The few applications I have tried can only monitor traffic on the computer it is installed. Moreover, new computers that may be connected to the LAN will not be monitored.
Please advise one with the capability to save the logs to a specified location.
PLUS - I am not familiar with NAS Devices. Any recommendations for my purpose?
    Thank you

Networx or its portable version can do:
Usage reports with export to a variety of file formats, including Excel, MS Word and HTML.

You won't need a NAS if you use file sharing. Export the reports to a shared directory and view them.

I've never use this program but it looks promising.

I have a router with custom firmware that has detailed reports built in.

I have settled for Networx. It gives me the information I need though I must install it on every computer. In addition, I have created a White list of MAC addresses in the router.
    Thank you all
