I finally got my Win 10 upgrade. During the install, I came to a, "Hi there, welcome back" screen.

It asks for a password. When I put mine in, it doesn't work. "incorrect password."

No place to do any other thing, the computer is stuck.

    What do I do?

    Thank you,

    Chris.

Looks like from the internet, I have to hose the whole thing. Reinstall Windows 7, then do Windows 10. What a hassle.

Hi Chris, From what I have seen the Upgrade from W7 to W10 is giving heaps of problems compared to moving from W8.1.
I would suggest that you make sure your W7 OS is running with ALL MS updates correctly installed and that your W7 OS is stable without any problems.
Uninstall any 3rd. party Anti-Virus you may be using prior to starting the W10 Upgrade.
In case of problems make sure you have recorded your W7 Product Key. Neil.

I guess I already installed it. Now that it's installed, I can't get into it.

When I turn on the computer, I get to the start screen, doesn't recognize my password. Can't do anything else.

    Chris.

Hi Chris, Just try 2 things at this point - have you done a Restart?
Have you shut down the comp?
Did you/have you created an Account? Neil.

I'm totally aware Doc of our Policy. If Chris has an account with MS there are procedures he can follow. Neil.
