If I upgraded from win7 to win10 and go back to 7, will that count as my
1 year upgrade even if I go back to 7 and clean install past July 2016 ?

I have a copy of a upgrade from Win7 to 8.1 on a separate SSD.
I suppose I will leave that one 8.1...I assume u can only have one copy
    of Win10 per device ?

    Thanks

Yes. After July 2016 you will need to purchase a Product Key.
Yes. This will be the Upgrade from a legitimate qualifying W7 or W8.1.
I'm not sure whether you could run a Virtual Machine as well. I would doubt it. Neil.
