I'm having a motherboard problem and I think I need to get a new one. If I do, will the new motherboard recognize the SSD drive and the SATA hard drives I've been using with my old motherboard?

    Thank you.

Yes, but you will have to Activate with MS. I did this last year - Gigabyte to Asus and because it's a major hardware change MS will ask you to Re-activate which I did over the phone.
Reasonably painless but make sure you have a good phone connection as it will take up to 10 - 15 minutes.
I had to re-activate MS Word as well. Cheers Neil.

Thanks Neil. I haven't tried the fix you recommended for my other problem because when it gets me into the Bios, I can't find Boot Order. I only see Boot Options. Do you think they are the same thing?

    Thanks again.

Boot Options should allow you to change the boot order.

    Thanks Ell Jay,

I finally figured that out and, you're right. It worked.

    Thanks also to Neil.

It's all working fine now, it seems.

    Much obliged.
