Randomly I have run into an issue where copy and paste functions are no longer working in Ms office. Whether in outlook or excel or ms word I can no longer copy and paste. I have restarted my computer , ran ccleaner program, cleared dead registry settings etc. I even ran office repair. No change. Any suggestions?

I've never had that particular problem, but when I googled "copy and paste not working" I found several posts. Maybe one of them will work for you.

Jeremie, it would help us if you'd post your system details. Right now it would help if we knew which version of Windows you have and which version of MS Office you're running.

Hi Jeremie, How do you copy/paste?
I usually > Highlight material I want to copy > Right click and click on Copy > Then Right click in new page and Paste.
If that doesn't work - I use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. Neil.

None of the typical functions are working anymore. When attempting to use any of the functions (ctrl+v ,ctrl c, right click copy, right click paste) nothing happens.

From what I've read, copy+paste no longer working is usually caused by an Office Add On, i.e. Send to Bluetooth, Go to Meeting, Keyboarding Pro add-in, etc. Disable Add Ons one at a time until the culprit(s) found.

Found this and wondered whether you had Skype installed? Neil.
Also found this link which has many users upset: Paste not working in Office 2010/Win 7 32 bit after June 2015 windows updates

Skype was not installed. I did find that windows update installed and I removed it. Although another computer is now having the same issue and neither skype nor the KB3057839 update was installed. The only thing I can possibly pin it on is Spector. Lucky me I'm out of my support window so I wont get the alleged update that fixes the issue -_-. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling Spector recorders to see it if makes a difference.

You can disable add-ons in Office.

Update: Uninstalled the spector 360 recorders and still having the same issues. I'm only using 2 add-on ins office and neither were installed when I started having the problem. SM repair also did not work.

    Other suggestions?

Jeremie, do you have the DVD/CD of MS Office 2010 or your Product Key?
If you have the DVD it might pay to re-install the program as it seems something is corrupted.
If you have the Product Key you can use this link to get the help you need:
MS Office Setup and Help. https://officesetup.getmicrosoftkey.com/ Neil.
