Resolved .NET frameworks needed?

Are .NET framework 4 and 4.5 needed for normal everyday use? My computer says it needs to repair .NET framework 4 each time i turn it on. I don't see any .NET frameworks except version 1.11 installed on my computer. Would like to get rid of framework 4 some how if i know it not needed. I don't do much with my computer. Play games, check email, check bank account, pay bills, and surf.
Please advise. I not get much info from Microsoft. My updater has framework 4 client profile as an update, but won't install it. So i will hide the update and wait for answer if anyone knows. Thanks for help

 

It may be. Some programs need Net framework 1 and others need 2 etc. What do you have installed on your PC?

I know that a framework of some sort is needed. I just was looking for why i have .NET framework 4 Beta and do i really need it. I don't do editing or movie making or anything like that. I will see if i can find it and remove it. If i need i will install 4.5(which i thought was for W8).

 

As explained in the link I Posted, If a NET Framework is required by a program to run - you will then need to Download from MS and install for that program. If you uninstall ALL/ANY NET Frameworks in your OS currently be aware that a Program/Software on your drive may not function without it. Neil.

 

I have 4.5 on my Win 7 Pro. It was updated on 4/15/2015
