Change all subscriptions to one gmail address?

I'd be interested in opinions on the following.
I have several email addresses. I've been thinking lately of changing the subscriptions registered with these email addresses to one Gmail address so that I don't have to be using more than one email address. It seems like a good idea to me, but I'm wondering if anyone can see a downside to doing this. To put it simply, I only want to be using one gmail address for absolutely everything and stop using POP mail altogether. Thank you.

 

I switched to Gmail years ago and have yet to regret it. Wherever you go, with whatever and/or whom ever's device, there's your email (and Contacts).

 

I do the same thing with my regular address. Just log into my ISP and there it is.

 

We use two e-mail addresses, both on our Internet provider's site. One is used for family stuff and the other for on-line shopping. They each have different log-ins and passwords. I figured it would be wise to keep our shopping activities separated from our more private family communications. It has worked well for about 14 years.

I usually have the family one up on IE and the other one on Chrome, so I can easily switch between them.
