Its long been a major PITA that Microsoft made it so hard to get an ISO image of its OS. Now it finally allows users to download Windows 7 ISO files. One requirement is that you need a valid product key.

Either he fixed them or they work for me. They have been on Digital River for quite a while now.

I just tried them again Bill and the links from Digital River are offline. The link that Arie posted works as long as you use a retail product key to download a Windows 7 ISO file. The Microsoft Software Recovery website will NOT work when using an OEM product key.

Sure it gets you to the MyDigitalLife.info site but upon clicking on any of the Digital River ISO download links they are offline and won't work.

A group at my place of business bought an OEM license for Win7 Pro (medialess). it's already been established that http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery/ will not allow you to download OEM windows7 ISO's. Question: Where/how do I get this media? Do I need to call the reseller / retailer who sold us the OEM license?

Yes, you'll need to contact the OEM.

No wonder Windows downloads on torrents site are a rage.

MS has become very cocky & unpredictable with its policy. People who bought Win8 and couldn't install Win8.1 fresh with their original Win8 key is one of the latest example. Unfortunately, I am one of them.
