Is there a step to make a View permanent after selection. Each time that I open a software window set at List, on reopening window at now displays as Large Icons, requiring to reset each time to List.

Thanks for your response. I fell for it yet again, installed what said as free. To correct errors requires a fee to be paid for. To uninstall, it took Revo six attempts to remove several files of this software, not certain if all traces have been removed. I think it would be better if such software indicated at start a fee is payable. Thank anyway.

Did you click on this line at the top of the site's page:

RECOMMENDED: Click here to fix Windows errors and optimize system performance

Sorry if I misled you. I hadn't done that before I submitted my post. It was the rather lengthy text of the page my link led to that I hoped you'd find useful. I found it by googling "windows 7 save view" and it looked promising to me.

    You didn't misled anyone BOBBO.

Internet users should recognize the link as a "sponsored" link or at least not run any software when non is needed.

I did 'break' your link in the post above, I didn't want to make $$$ for the other site here.

BOBBO, I appreciated your response and regardless of other comment, I just meant that some software writers do mislead by making believe their software is free only to download but not fix for free. I did as you now realise that I clicked the line above the site's page, and certainly in no way did you misled me, I apologise if I made you think so. Thanks Bobby.
