    Hello all,
Has anyone heard if the the MS server that the Windows 7 upgrade adviser is still active? I have tried to run it on a couple of XP PCs and am getting an error that says that the adviser was unable to reach the Microsoft server for compatibility information. Has MS obsoleted it? Thanks.

I have it downloaded. The program installs and starts. When you tell it to start the check the error occurs.

Is the system using a proxy to access the Internet? That's a know cause of that error.

    Check %temp%\WuaDiagnostics.log for more info.

    Hi Arie,
Nope, no proxy server. I have attached the log file for reference.

I haven't been able to find out anything yet.

One suggestion: Make sure you are running it from an Admin account.

Interesting, it has started working. I'm guessing that the website that they are using must have had issues. Thanks for your help.
