Hi Guys, I have just purchased a SanDisk-32GB-CZ45-Cruzer-Ultra-USB-Flash-Drive-Memory-Stick-Thumb-Key-Pen-32G and when I try to use it all I get is the error 'Can't format Write protected' which of course is of no use at all to me to have a USB that cannot be written to

Some have a little switch that you have to move to do anything with them.

Check the bottom end and sides of the drive to see if it has a write protection switch. Push the plastic switch into the "Unlock" position.

What were the results of step 5?

What is listed when you type attributes disk after selecting the USB disk in DiskPart?

Also see: Write Protect Error on USB Flash Drives

    Maybe time for an RMA.

Do you have another pc to try it on?

Did you ever get to use it?

Have you rebooted the pc since this started?

Spyware Dr, It was purchased from China and I thought if it was something simple I could avoid the hassle and return postage, but alas no!

When you open the .exe - you will see the option to check the English version. No problems at my end. Neil.
