    Hi Wizards,

Suddenly, since a a couple of days, Outlook 2013 does not send email. It does not give any error message as it is unable to finish the task, it just churns and churns infinitely until I end the task in Task Manager.

With the receiving part it has no problems. On verifying the account settings, these seem all in order and each account even sends and receives the "Microsoft Outlook Test Message ".

I also checked the net, but found no solutions. Some random posts suggest "encryption problems ", but that was not so in my case. I do have encryption certificates for secure mail, but send without encrypting any mail. I also changed the settings from secured to unsecured mail, but the problem remains the same.

I have two separate ISP's and the problem exists on all accounts on both of the servers.

Any suggestions how to fix the nut?

Are you physically located at a location where one of the two ISP is the provider?

Or is this a laptop and you're at another location? If so, you'll have to set your outgoing settings to match the current ISP requirements.

I'm in Germany and use Deutsche Telekom on 2 of my email accounts. The second set of accounts is on the West Coast of US where I have a server with several domains on it with each having a couple of email accounts on it. Retrospectively, no problems with same settings on the laptop!

All accounts with current settings were functioning flawlessly till a couple of days back. I even System Restored the last set of automatic Updates (Windows + Office) just in case that had something to do with it, but removing them made no difference. The problem still persists.

    Regards and thanks,

    Rista.

Windows 8 on the compromised PC Outlook.
Laptops & other PC's Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 (all working)

I'm assuming that you are currently sitting and using Deutsche Telekom internet service... If you were someone else that uses a different ISP - that could be the problem.

Go to Deutsche Telekom's web site and lookup the Outgoing Server information..port numbers etc and see if they match what your settings are.

    Hi Steve,
That is not the problem. All outgoing server settings/port #'s are untouched and are the same as the last 20 years. If these were wrong a "Microsoft Outlook Test Message" would not come through in the first place. All these settings were working till a few days back.

    Nevertheless, the SSL port settings:
Telekom: 995 and 587 (TLS Outgoing server)
My Server: 993 and 467 (SSL Outgoing server

Is the computer in question located at the same physical location as it was a few days ago when the email was working:confused:
