Resolved Start Program Won't Execute

    What would cause a program located in the Start Menu not to execute?

    Hi joe645. If the program's shortcut is pointing to a location that no longer exists would be the first thing I can think of.

    If the program itself has been corrupted then it would not execute properly.

    Also a malware infection can block access to certain programs as well.

    What program are you trying to run?

    It is a wallpaper program called Webshots. If it doesn't auto execute I just go to my Start Button and click on it . . . then the program executes so I don't think it's corrupted. I always run malware and virus programs before shutdown.

    Do you want this program to startup automatically when you logon to your user profile or is starting it manually just fine?

    It is set as an every changing wallpaper and screen saver. I reinstalled it and now it seems to be working fine again. Thanks.
