I've backed up two hard drives (C: Drive, and my secondary storage hard drive) with Acronis True Image onto a My Passport external hard drive.

I've looked at all the backed up files on the external drive and they all seem to be there. However, Acronis shows that a total of 84.6 Gb have been backed up, but I estimate that it should total 179 Gb.

My question is, are the backed up files compressed and, if so, would that explain the difference of 94.4 Gb?

    Thank you,

Yes, they are compressed - the degree of compression will depend on the type of file. From the Manual ....
Did you use the option to Validate the backup? Important IMO.
