Resolved LibreOffice question.

I installed LibreOffice new version 4.3.1.2., unable to open a database page last used, as it opens at first entry page. Previous versions are not affected as it opens at last entry. Can anyone help please.

I have searched Customise and Options without any results and also carried out a re-install of LibreOffice 4.3. with no success. Has anyone using LibreOffice encountered this error of not being able to open saved document at point of closing it. Thank you.

 

I use LO and when I installed the new version, my movie spreadsheet had and error that I could not fix. All other spreadsheets would open just fine. I just spent 2 days reconstructing the movie data. All is well now....

Thank you for replies. Yes tried a search in Google, apparently no answers appear to refer to my error. Checked several other similar databases, error is present. Error started after installing version 4.3.

Your error is occurring using Writer?
When you save your Document - it is set to save it where?
I had a browse through Libre Help and FAQ's and it appears that there are a few bugs in Version 4.3.1.2 - a lot of complaints.
I had Version 4.1.2 which opened and worked fine. I Downloaded Version 4.3.1.2 and it wouldn't open after installation. It showed an exception error so I uninstalled it and Downloaded a fresh copy and tried that.
Same problem - it wouldn't open. I uninstalled again and re-installed the earlier Version again (4.1.2) and it opened and worked OK.
It might be worth trying the earlier version to see if it works for you.

retiredlearner. Document is save to HD as Weather 2014. Version 4.3 certainly has a bug as proven by several reinstall. I down loaded your suggested version 4.1.2, installed, this also refused to start document at point of closing it. After further search of saved software, found LibreOffice v.4.2 down loaded end of June 2014. Installed LO 4.2., this thankfully has solved the error, as I am back to normal .As well I kept a copy of LO 4.2. I will stay well clear of LO 4.3. until the bug has been removed.

PeteC. My keyboard is a Logitech 400 keyboard, I can not find a key marked End, probably under another symbol.
