I'm using windows 8pro and have tried to update to 8.1 with no luck. Each time (2) I end up with the message "windows could not complete the install. To install windows on this computer, restart instillation." Then it restores my system back to what it was. Well it doesn't. It lost all of my printers drivers and some how ******* up my internet explorer. I would like to revert back to a previous date prior to when I tried to update, is this possible? If not what other means do I have to get back to when it was working. Sure would like help!

Hi rgaleh. You can use System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state in order to try installing Windows 8.1 again. If that doesn't work then you can consider performing a system refresh in Windows 8 and then see if Windows 8.1 installs successfully, How to Refresh Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Hi rgaleh, I see you tired to list your "System Details ".
When you have entered your info under UserCP, you MUST scroll to the bottom of the page and SAVE before closing. Neil.

    you could be in trouble...
I installed 8.1 then tried to get rid of it...but no chance.
to go back I would have to go back to factory settings.
So I am stuck with 8.1... Good Luck.
