    Hi All
I am removing McAfee anti-virus and installing etrust.
I have a manual removal that I got off another post here.

    Just a few questions,
Is it best to remove the registry entries after the add/remove program?
I have McAfee firewall free with MSN, will it still work? Any conflicts with etrust anti-virus?

    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks
    Geri

The first thing is always to run the add/remove programs option, or the uninstaller included with the program.
After you have completed this, you go and check to make sure that the registry entries listed in the manual removal have been removed, finally you delete any files/ folders specified in the manual removal.
In most cases, just running add/ remove will be adequate.

    Thanks Pete
The only thing in the registry under McAfee.com is "properties "?
I have a file in my downloaded file folder that is "Am I up to date ". I'm not sure if I should remove this. not sure if it's for my firewall or left over from McAfee AV.
Everything else seems to be gone?

Unless it is causing a specific problem, I would leave it alone.
